1. The tables give information about different jobs. Work in pairs. One student looks at table A on page 24 and one student looks at table B on page 26. The job of a teacher is interesting yet challenging. He/She has to be sociable and friendly to communicate with children. She needs to be patient and enthusiastic all the time since each student has a different learning process and needs different teaching methods. If a student can’t get the lesson, she might have to tell him again and again or use other way to make him understand better. In order to be a teacher, it is necessary that one feel enjoyable being around children; otherwise, this job might be really stressful.

The required skills for this job are communication skills and lesson planning skills. Moreover, good knowledge about the subject to be taught is also an important feature for being a teacher.
